Privacy and cookies

Data controller

What data we process

  • Browsing. The service that hosts the site records technical data (IP address, browser, pages requested) in order to run and protect it.
  • Language. If you choose a language from the menu, the site remembers it with a technical cookie (nf_lang).
  • Basket. The bottles you choose are saved in your browser (local storage) and are not sent to us until you proceed to payment.
  • Orders. Name, email, telephone number, shipping address, bottles purchased and amounts. Stripe collects them on the payment page and passes them to us so that we can prepare and ship the order.
  • Contacts. The data you give us when you send us an email.

Purposes and legal basis

  • Fulfilling the order and shipment, and answering your requests: performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Complying with tax and accounting obligations: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c).
  • Keeping the site secure and preventing payment fraud: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to anyone.

How long we keep it

Order data is kept for 10 years, as required by tax regulations. Other data is kept for as long as necessary to answer your requests.

Who processes it on our behalf

  • Stripe Payments Europe (payments), also as an independent controller for anti-money laundering and anti-fraud obligations.
  • Netlify (website hosting).
  • OVHcloud (email and domain).
  • The courier who delivers your order.
  • Google (the site's typefaces, loaded from its servers).

Some of these providers are based, or have servers, outside the European Union: data is transferred with the safeguards provided for by the GDPR (EU-US adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).

Your rights

You may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of or objection to its processing, and receive it in a portable format, by writing to ordini@vignaliponti.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

Cookies

This site does not use profiling cookies or analytics tools, so we do not ask for your consent. It only uses a technical cookie to remember the language you chose and the browser's local storage for the basket, which you can clear at any time from your settings. Stripe's payment page uses its own technical and anti-fraud cookies, described in its privacy notice.
